Mission
The Hawaii 4x4 Association (H4x4A) was founded in 2008 to bring the 4x4 community together on all Hawaiian Islands. A common voice was needed to address the issues of; lack of and decreasing access to 4x4 trails, lack of Off Road Vehicle (ORV) parks, varying rules and enforcement issues, legislation targeting the 4x4 community and the need for a strong group of dedicated individuals that will work with the State of Hawai’i and other environmental / cultural organizations to ensure that 4 wheeling would be safe, legal and done in a responsible manner.
H4x4A is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that is IRS tax exempt. H4x4A has no paid staff and 100% of all donations go directly to support our efforts. Click on the following link to view our IRS Tax Exempt Letter.
Vision
- H4x4A will provide leadership to the 4x4 community that wants to work towards our common goals. We will work with the Department of Land and Natural Resources to represent the concerns and issues of the Hawaii 4x4 community.
- We will provide common sense approaches to land use issues for 4x4 vehicles.
- We will work to develop ORV parks on all Hawaiian Islands to give the 4 wheeling community a fun, safe and legal place to challenge their vehicles and themselves.
- We believe that the family is at the core of 4 wheeling in Hawaii and feel that 4 wheeling is a great way to build unity with friends and family.
- H4x4A is recognized by the general public, the media, and elected officials as the leader in promoting common sense and an equitable approach to recreation and access issues.
